MMLAB ERDVĖ  iš Vokiečių gatvės keliasi į naujas erdves. Nuo šiol MMLAB ERDVĖ bus įrengiama vis kitose Vilniaus, Lietuvos ir užsienio vietose, kur auditorija galės susipažinti su įvairiais menininkų eksperimentais. Pirmoji stotelė – Energetikos ir technikos muziejus.

MMLAB skelbia atvirą konkursą įvairių sričių menininkams, eksperimentuojantiems šiuolaikinių scenos menų formomis bei kvestionuojantiems scenos meno sąvokas. Kūrėjai kviečiami tyrinėti muziejaus eksponatus bei erdves: Pramonės bei Energetikos ekspozicijas, Virsmo salę, stogo terasą, bei kitus, lankytojams rečiau matomus, muziejaus kampelius. Atrinkti dalyviai dirbs su mentoriais, gaus visą organizacinę ir techninę pagalbą, dalyvaus paskaitose ir susitikimuose bei įgyvendins savo sumanymus muziejuje. Jų viešas pristatymas įvyks 2024 m. spalio pabaigoje – lapkričio pradžioje.

Atviro konkurso būdu bus atrenkamos 3 idėjos (menininkai arba menininkų grupės), kurių įgyvendinimui bus skiriama po 4500 Eur. (atlygiai, medžiagų, paslaugų įsigijimas). Idėjos bus vertinamos atsižvelgiant į jų meninę ir kultūrinę vertę, idėjos tikslingumą ir aktualumą, būsimo kūrinio pritaikymą Energetikos ir technikos muziejaus erdvėms, sumanymo šiuolaikiškumą ir originalumą, preliminarią sąmatą.

Galimi dalyviai: profesionalus įvairių sričių pradedantieji (savo srityje dirbantys ne ilgiau nei 5 metus arba keičiantys veiklos kryptį) menininkai ir meno studijų paskutiniųjų kursų studentai.

Galimos formos: įvairios formos ir raiškos scenos menai, tarpdisciplininės raiškos, bendruomeninės iniciatyvos, performansai ar performatyvūs veiksmai, judesys ar šokis, garso bei muzikos eksperimentai, protestai, erdvės tyrimai, burtai ir visos kitos kūrybinės raiškos priemonės.

Projekto  mentoriai: kompozitorė, muzikos krypties doktorantė Agnė Matulevičiūtė, režisierius ir dramaturgas Naubertas Jasinskas, aktorius ir režisierius Gediminas Rimeika, prodiuserė dr. Rusnė Kregždaitė. Mentoriai lydės menininkus viso kūrybinio proceso metu, kuruos darbų pristatymo renginį bei dalinsis savo patirtimi.

Paraiškų konkursui laukiama iki gegužės 30 dienos. Geriausių idėjų autoriai bus pakviesti į pokalbį birželio pradžioje, o iki birželio 10 d. paskelbsime konkurso rezultatus.

MMLAB SPACE is moving from Vokiečių Street to a new space. From now on, MMLAB SPACE will be installed in different locations in Vilnius, Lithuania and abroad, where the audience will be able to get acquainted with various artists' experiments. The first stop is the Museum of Energy and Technology.

MMLAB announces an open competition for artists from different fields experimenting with contemporary performing arts forms and questioning the notions of performing arts. Artists are invited to explore the Museum's exhibits and spaces: the Industrial and Energy Expositions, the Surface Hall, the Roof Terrace, and other corners of the Museum that are less visible to visitors. Selected participants will work with mentors, receive full organisational and technical support, attend lectures and meetings, and implement their ideas in the Museum, which they will present in late October/early November 2024.

Through an open call, 3 ideas (artists or groups of artists) will be selected for a total of €4,500 each (fees, materials, services). The ideas will be evaluated on the basis of their artistic and cultural value, the purposefulness and relevance of the idea, the adaptation of the future work to the spaces of the Museum of Energy and Technology, the modernity and originality of the idea, and the preliminary cost estimate.

Eligible participants: professional emerging artists and final year art students of various disciplines (who have been working in their field for no more than 5 years or are changing their field of activity).

Artistic forms: performing arts of various forms and expressions, interdisciplinary expressions, community initiatives, performances or performative actions, movement or dance, sound and music experiments, protests, space studies, magic and all other means of creative expression.

Mentors of the project are: composer and PhD student in music Agnė Matulevičiūtė, director and playwright Naubertas Jasinskas, actor and director Gediminas Rimeika, producer Dr Rusnė Kregždaitė. The mentors will accompany the artists throughout the creative process, curate the presentation event and share their experience.

Applications for the competition are open until 30 May. The authors of the best ideas will be invited to an interview in early June and the results will be announced by 10 June.
